Technical Trainer - West Chester Job Summary The Production Trainer assists with the training processes locally. The role partners with the Learning & Development Manager/ Specialist and the operations team to ensure training is available for Operator/Craft Job Certification. They will be a key contact/primary trainer for newly hired teammates, as well as tenured teammates, from a cross‑training perspective, in collaboration with site leadership. Major Job Responsibilities Assists with New Hire Orientation/On Boarding Training and On the Job Training Assists with the training tracking, evaluation, and measurement of training locally Supports learning solution creation and content updates as needed Develop, build, and maintain relationships with all levels of plant personnel Conduct training on all shifts Influence others to be safety-minded Team member will be certified through departmental training standard, Train the Trainer and then manage the day‑to‑day Certification Process of teammates, in alignment with Ops L&D Additional duties as assigned How You Will Impact WestRock Improve local team performance through increasing skills and time to certification processes Cost eliminator driving training efficiencies across roles saving us unnecessary risk and reducing the time allotted for training Critical Skills/Capabilities What you need to succeed: Growth and Results Oriented: Results oriented person that looks for constant ways to improve. Influence: Able to partner and build relationships to influence teams to work together, share best practice and develop and drive effective training for operations teams Decision Making: Uses strong problem‑solving skills and supporting information to arrive at optimal decisions in an appropriate timeframe; knows when to decide and/or when to seek additional input, and drive for consensus. Communication: willingness to work on the floor, with all shifts, in a heavy manufacturing world to ensure we can document and teach critical work processes Quality: actively work to ensure quality is ensured while minimizing waste Technical Skills

  1. 3 years’ experience conducting/leading training, including On‑The‑Job training, or similar, in a manufacturing environment preferred
  2. 4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

The salary range for this position is $55,875.00 - $93,125.00, depending on your role, level, and location. The range listed is also the expected pay for roles in Illinois and Colorado. The benefits for this role include short‑term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 15 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change.
