Locate underground telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer utilities safely and efficiently Search designated areas for underground utilities Accurately mark utility locations Complete required documentation and photograph each locate Work independently in the field using a company-provided vehicle Perform work with a 48-hour turnaround, including generally working the day after holidays and some weekends as needed Work overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call shifts, including nights and weekends, based on business needs Requirements No prior locating experience required; experienced locators encouraged to apply Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions Proficiency with technology Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed Able to pass a drug screen Valid driver’s license and safe driving record Able to work in a confined space, walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs. Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, maps, and prints Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners Core Competencies Demonstrates the ability to locate and accurately mark underground utilities while adhering to safety protocols and completing required documentation. Capable of working independently in various weather conditions and managing overtime and on-call shifts as needed.
