Mountain West Preferred Condominium Program Join us as the in‑house expert and champion of the MW Preferred Condominium Program, where you’ll drive the submission, marketing, and placement of homeowners and condominium association policies. This is a high‑impact role for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, client relationships, and shaping product delivery. This role is perfect for candidates with backgrounds in account management, risk management, analytics, claims, or program coordination (underwriting experience is a plus but not required). What you’ll do Assess risks of property exposures for new and renewal homeowners and condominium association policies. You will evaluate properties, loss history, and catastrophe exposures (hail, wildfire, flood). Gather and organize submission materials (applications, loss runs, building schedules, meeting minutes, financials, reserve studies) to build complete and competitive submissions. Apply carrier guidelines to structure and place policies, ensuring coverage accuracy at binding and renewal. Act as the program’s go‑to technical resource - advise producers and account executives on coverage gaps, requirements, and program design. Foster strong partnerships with carrier and automation partners to maintain compliance, streamline quoting, and improve underwriting rules and systems. Use data, loss trends, and market insights to set appropriate pricing and maintain program profitability. Stay informed on Colorado regulatory updates and changing market conditions that affect community association placement. Support claims advocacy and complex coverage analysis in coordination with the claims team on behalf of the Mountain West Preferred Condominium Program clients. Demonstrated ability to market, compare, and place complex commercial accounts. Strong knowledge of ISO commercial property and liability forms, manuscript endorsements, and program structures common to community associations. Strong knowledge of Colorado insurance regulations, property forms, and catastrophe modeling. Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to explain complex coverage concepts to HOA board members, property managers, and producers. Proficiency with agency management systems (Applied Epic) and Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications CPCU, CIC, AU, or CIRMS (Community Insurance & Risk Management Specialist) designation — or active pursuit. Established relationships with Colorado HOA‑focused carriers and wholesale brokers Experience with MGAs, program administration, or HOA/condo insurance. Proven track record of profitable underwriting in high‑risk property markets. Work Environment/Physical Demands Extended periods of sitting at a desk while using a computer and other office equipment. Repetitive motion tasks, such as typing, data entry, and phone use. Occasional lifting of files or other materials, typically weighing up to 20 pounds. Ability to move freely around the office space to collaborate with colleagues or access office resources. Visual acuity to read documents, screens, and fine print on documents. Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and handle paperwork efficiently. Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail in a sometimes fast‑paced and multitasking environment. The office environment typically has a moderate noise level consistent with a professional office setting. Some travel may be required for this position, primarily for attending training sessions, conferences, or meetings with clients or stakeholders. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be necessary for travel to off‑site locations.
