About the Role

Our Heart & Vascular Institute is looking for a full-time interventional cardiologist to join our growing team. The selected candidate will hold a clinical academic appointment and provide interventional services at our UPMC Jameson facility. Collaborating with interventional colleagues in Pittsburgh, we offer 24/7 STEMI coverage. Responsibilities will include:

• Conducting diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations
• Performing transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs)
• Administering cardioversions
• Inserting temporary and permanent pacemakers
• Utilizing intra-aortic balloon pumps
• Conducting peripheral angiograms and interventions in partnership with vascular surgery

Our team at UPMC Jameson currently includes four full-time cardiologists (two interventionalists and two non-invasive specialists) and ten advanced practice providers (APPs), with plans to expand to six cardiologists. Additionally, we have part-time services from four electrophysiologists, a heart failure specialist, three vascular surgeons, one thoracic surgeon, and one cardiothoracic surgeon. Our outpatient office is conveniently located within UPMC Jameson, which also houses a comprehensive range of diagnostic services, including two catheterization labs.

Qualifications
