Supplier Quality Engineer

Becton Dickinson seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer for a fixed-term assignment through October 2027 at the Tempe headquarters. The role manages supplier assessments, quality systems, and process improvements to ensure compliance with medical device regulations and enhance supply chain performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain supplier quality management systems and procedures for regulatory compliance
- Conduct supplier audits to assess quality systems, manufacturing processes, and capability alignment
- Lead new supplier selection and qualification including technical review and process validation
- Monitor supplier performance metrics, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality requirements for new products
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
- 3-5 years supplier quality engineering or quality assurance experience in regulated industry
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 and 21 CFR Part 820 requirements
- Proficiency with quality tools: FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D problem-solving, root cause analysis
- Experience conducting supplier audits and assessments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
