Physician Rural Family Medicine - South Haven, Michigan

Position Overview
Physician – Rural Family Medicine – South Haven, Michigan (Bronson LakeView Family Care – Blue Star). Hospital‑employed outpatient practice with no OB or inpatient medicine. Work alongside one physician and two APPs in a rural health setting that offers flexible scheduling, including early morning and late evening appointments, and is NHSC designated for student loan forgiveness.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat a full spectrum of primary‑care patients.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and manage follow‑up care.
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans with patient‑centered focus.
- Provide preventive wellness counseling and education to patients and families.
- Determine appropriate referrals, urgency of follow‑up, and consult with the Medical Director and other staff as needed.
- Document all services accurately in the patient medical record.
- Participate in clinic process improvement, continuing education, and patient‑care quality initiatives.
- Assist in resolving patient complaints and maintain confidentiality of patient information per federal guidelines.
Qualifications
- Board certification (BC) or board eligibility (BE) in Family Medicine.
- Current and unrestricted state medical license (MD/DO) in Michigan.
- DEA licensure and current DPS Certificate of Registration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to compassionate, quality, patient‑centered care.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct or internship experience in a family or primary‑care setting (if applicable).
