About This Role

Franconia Children’s Center is seeking a nurturing, patient, and dependable educator to join our nursery classroom. This position involves caring for infants in a safe, loving, and responsive environment while supporting their early growth and development.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing attentive and nurturing care to each infant
  • Feeding bottles and introducing foods according to each child’s individual schedule
  • Changing diapers and maintaining accurate feeding, diapering, and sleep records
  • Following safe-sleep practices and all New Hampshire Child Care Licensing requirements
  • Maintaining active supervision and responding promptly to infants’ needs
  • Planning age-appropriate activities, including tummy time, sensory play, music, stories, and outdoor experiences
  • Supporting infants as they reach physical, social, emotional, and communication milestones
  • Cleaning and sanitizing bottles, toys, equipment, and classroom surfaces
  • Communicating professionally with families about their child’s day, routines, and development
  • Working collaboratively with co-teachers to maintain a calm, organized, and welcoming classroom
  • Following all FCC health, safety, emergency, and classroom procedures

The ideal candidate is gentle, reliable, observant, and comfortable caring for infants with different feeding, sleeping, and developmental needs. Previous infant-care experience is preferred, but we are willing to support the right candidate in completing the required training and early childhood education coursework.
