Title: SEO Content Specialist

Location: Boise ID 83716 (onsite)

Pay Range: $34-$37 per hour

Hours: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

Position Summary
The SEO Content Specialist supports the search team by managing content production workflows and ensuring digital content across the website is properly keyworded, structured, optimized, and moved through the publishing process. This position focuses on SEO/GEO execution (keyword research, outlining, coordination, optimization, and tracking). Strong writing skills are a big plus, though this is not a dedicated writing-only role.

SEO Content Specialist Job Responsibilities

• Conduct keyword research for blog/glossary topics using SEO tools (SEMrush or similar)
• Create SEO-driven outlines for blog articles and product pages (structure, headings, intent, target keywords)
• Coordinate with writers, agencies, internal stakeholders, and AI tools to move content through production stages
• Manage end-to-end content workflow from intake/backlog through publication
• Maintain visibility into the content pipeline and provide status tracking to stakeholders
• Track and report basic content performance (traffic, impressions, keyword rankings) and highlight wins/gaps
• Review and optimize draft content for SEO structure and keyword alignment
• Conduct offsite outreach to build high-quality backlinks
• Strengthen internal linking strategies across related site pages
• Improve GEO/AI-search performance by:
• Rewriting definitions and “answer-first” sections for clarity and AI retrieval
• Expanding FAQ sections using targeted queries with concise, accurate responses
• Applying structured formatting (headers, bullets, short-form answers) for AI Overviews/LLMs
• Improving entity coverage and optimized anchor text / internal linking
• Executing scalable on-page optimizations using provided briefs/checklists/tools

SEO Content Specialist Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of experience in SEO, content marketing, or digital marketing
• Strong on-page SEO knowledge (keyword strategy, search intent, optimization)
• Experience creating/editing content beyond basic blog writing
• Ability to manage multiple content projects end-to-end (SEO + project coordination)
• Familiarity with AI search optimization / GEO concepts (how LLMs find, read, and cite content)
• Experience editing/writing for AI-readiness (semantic structure, entity optimization, conversational keyword integration)
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills (including working with technical teams on site health/schema needs)
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

SEO Content Specialist Preferred Skills/Experience

• Marketing-focused SEO background
• Experience with Workfront (or similar project management platforms)
• Google Analytics and/or Adobe Analytics exposure
• Experience in B2B and/or technical content environments (semiconductors, memory/storage preferred)
• Exposure to GEO visibility tools (Athena, Gradial, or similar)
• Comfortable leveraging AI tools to draft, refine, and scale content workflows (training provided)
