Senior Structural Engineer – Transportation
An established engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to support the growth of its transportation design services. This role combines structural engineering, project management, team leadership, and business development, with opportunities to build client relationships and develop engineering talent.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects from proposal development and budgeting through design and final delivery.
- Perform structural analysis, design, technical reporting, and specification development.
- Review engineering calculations, reports, plans, and specifications.
- Coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary project teams to resolve design issues.
- Mentor, recruit, and develop engineering staff.
- Support business development, client relationship management, and proposal presentations.
- Help grow the structures group through hiring and technical leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- At least 4 years of engineering project management experience.
- Familiarity with AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications.
