Candidates will submit their shift availability during the application process.Position SummaryThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing quality nursing care within a correctional healthcare setting under the direction of Registered Nurses and healthcare providers. Duties include medication administration, patient monitoring, treatment support, documentation, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. LPNs play a critical role in ensuring safe, ethical, and effective care for incarcerated individuals.ResponsibilitiesAdminister medications and treatments as prescribedMonitor and document patient conditions and responses to treatmentAssist with health assessments and nursing evaluationsRespond appropriately to medical emergenciesCoordinate care with RNs, providers, and healthcare staffMaintain accurate and timely medical recordsEducate patients regarding healthcare needs and treatment plansAdhere to facility policies, security procedures, and nursing standardsMinimum RequirementsActive Washington State LPN licenseMinimum of 1 year of LPN experience preferredStrong communication, organization, and critical thinking skillsAbility to work effectively in a correctional healthcare environmentBenefitsWeekly payMedical, dental, prescription, and vision plansLife insurance, 401(k) and MoreThe Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse works in close and immediate contact with adults and children in custody on a daily basis providing general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility while maintaining facility security standards.Minimum Requirements:Possesses a current Practical Nursing License in the applicable stateMinimum of one year experience in Corrections preferredCurrent CPR if applicableTB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicableCurrent Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)Must meet all federal, state and local requirementsMust be at least 18 years of ageBenefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
