Corporate & Finance, Mid-Level Banking Associate

Overview Hogan Lovells is seeking a mid‑level associate to join our U.S. banking and loan finance team. Located in the world’s key financial hubs, the firm’s Finance practice operates one of the leading global practices with more than 450 lawyers situated in 30 offices. The U.S. banking and loan finance team is a fully integrated cross‑office national practice that represents lenders, private‑equity sponsors and public and private companies, both domestically and abroad, in all aspects of lending transactions, including acquisition finance and asset‑based lending. Associates on the U.S. banking team will work on a highly varied portfolio of transactions for clients on both the borrower and lender side, including lines of credit for public and private companies, syndicated TLA/TLB transactions, direct lending transactions, note purchase agreements, private placements, receivables financings, equipment financings, and structured financings. Responsibilities Represent lenders, private‑equity sponsors, and public and private companies in banking and loan finance transactions. Handle acquisition finance, asset‑based lending, and other transaction types such as lines of credit, syndicated TLA/TLB, direct lending, note purchase agreements, private placements, receivables financings, equipment financings, and structured financings. Address bank financing and related UCC matters for both borrower and lender clients. Qualifications Significant transactional experience in bank financing transactions and related UCC matters. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with sophisticated client teams. Commitment to excellence and a desire to contribute to a friendly and collegial culture within the corporate and finance group and the firm as a whole. Minimum three years of directly relevant experience; a preference for candidates located in New York or Washington, DC, but consideration for Boston, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Silicon Valley offices. For U.S. lawyer opportunities: a law degree from an ABA‑accredited law school and membership in the U.S. Bar. Compensation The expected base salary range for this role is $260,000 to $365,000 per year. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on qualifications.
