Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology unit requiring ARRT certification and cath lab/EP lab experience.

Details

• Multi-specialty department including interventional radiology
• Cath lab/EP lab experience preferred
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Weekend requirement
• On-call requirement of 5-6 days per month including one weekend
• 30-minute meal break
• May be subject to floating between facilities within the health system if requested by unit

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of direct experience required
• Associate Degree in Applied Sciences required; BSN required
• ARRT R certification required
• BLS and ACLS through AHA required
• IL license required if applicable
• CCI RCIS and CCI RCES certifications preferred
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures including PCI, PTCA, left and right heart catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, and rotablator atherectomy
• Experience with electrophysiology studies including cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, and pacemaker insertion
• Experience with vascular studies and procedures including carotid stenting and endovascular interventions
• Skilled in equipment set up, scrubbing, maintaining sterile field, and room circulator duties
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Knowledge of infection control, isolation precautions/PPE, and sterile technique
• Experience with middle adult and older adult patient populations
• Charting system experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Participate in laser-assisted procedures and ASD closures with cardiac implant closure devices
• Perform tilt table studies as needed
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront as RTO cannot be added after submission
