Stefanini Group is hiring!

Stefanini is looking for a Software Engineer - Remote

W2 candidates Preferred!

Responsibilities:

• A tool was developed, use while standing up new colo environments that allows us to quickly compare configurations server by server in all environments to identify problem areas.
• There is an opportunity to enhance this tool to become a valuable daily Prod and non-Prod resource for identifying anomalies both proactively for configuration drift as well as reactively as an immediately available source of reference during a production incident.
• The proposal would be to add automation and to display the results in a visual fashion.
• Developers and production support resources can instantly see the current condition of all environments at any given time.
• The data points can include basics like directory structure and ownership, account permissions, or more advanced items such as WebSphere custom configs, database auto-extends settings, and TLS encryption levels.
• Within a couple of months, this could be demo'd for the Check processing as an example for other business lines.
• Most of the key data points are applicable across systems, so it is very portable to other areas.
• The enhanced tool would be valuable for ensuring Colo environment parity ahead of ACH colo cutover.
• Unlike other tools, ALL environments are available in a single view as opposed to a single server or application.
• This capability could significantly improve system stability, reduce configuration drift, and identify abnormalities before they become problems as opposed to relying on generated alerts after a problem occurs.
