Job duties Verify and record incoming shipments against purchase orders, invoices, or manifests for accuracy in quantity, quality, and condition. Prepare and process outgoing shipments, including packing, labeling, creating bills of lading, and coordinating with carriers. Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS). Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies and resolve issues with suppliers or internal teams. Perform cycle counts, data entry, and generate shipping/receiving reports as needed. Load and unload trucks safely (forklift experience preferred). Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards (OSHA), and quality procedures. Keep the work area clean and organized through 5S practices. Assist with other warehouse tasks as assigned. Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or logistics training is beneficial. High school diploma or GED required. Experience Requirements Experience receiving, storing, picking, packing, or shipping products in a warehouse environment. Ability to accurately complete shipping and receiving documentation. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment following company procedures. Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and inventory accuracy. 1+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations (SRO or equivalent preferred). Must be available for full weekend shifts (Fri-Sun). Preferred Qualifications Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one. Previous experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanners, or inventory software is preferred. Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment is beneficial. Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, or order fulfillment is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate dependability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic are well positioned for success as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday. Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely load, unload, and organize products in a warehouse environment. Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and production conditions as required.
