Paralegal - Legal Operations United States (Remote)

We are hiring our first in-house Paralegal to own all legal operations end‑to‑end. This is a high‑ownership, high‑visibility role – you will manage commercial contracts, deploy AI‑powered legal tooling, reduce dependency on external counsel, and build the legal infrastructure that scales with the business. You will report to the SVP, Finance, and work closely with the CEO and cross‑functionally. Key Responsibilities Contract & Commercial Operations Own the full lifecycle of customer contracts: MSAs, SOWs, and NDAs - first review, redlines, tracking, and execution. Manage vendor and partner agreements - negotiate, template, and reduce routine external counsel spend. Build and maintain a centralized contract repository with metadata, renewal dates, and risk clause tracking. Deliver exec‑level reporting on contract status, open items, and legal risk exposure. Draft and manage offer letters, severance agreements, and PIP documentation. Ensure proactive employment law compliance as headcount grows. Support HR on employee relations matters requiring legal review. Legal AI Tooling & Operations Deploy and operate AI‑powered legal tools to automate routine contract work. Centralize templates, metadata, and reporting across all legal functions. Continuously identify opportunities to reduce external counsel dependency through automation. Compliance & Policy Build and maintain the internal legal policy library. Track regulatory changes relevant to SaaS, data privacy, and employment law. Maintain audit‑readiness across all legal documentation. Qualifications & Experience 3-5+ years of paralegal experience, ideally in a SaaS or high‑growth tech company. Hands‑on ownership of commercial contract management – not just filing or support. Comfortable building process from scratch with limited supervision. Strong judgment – you will handle sensitive matters independently and know when to elevate. Paralegal certificate or relevant legal/business degree preferred. Ownership mindset – you run the function, not just the tasks. Detail‑oriented with high accuracy standards on contracts and compliance. Comfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast‑moving environment. Clear communicator – written and verbal, including executive‑level reporting. Growth mindset and continuous improvement orientation.
