Overview
Mural Industrial Staffing is seeking an experienced HVAC Duct Cleaning Technician on behalf of a well-established heating and air conditioning provider in the York, Nebraska area. This is a hands-on, field-based role responsible for cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining residential and light commercial HVAC duct systems. The technician will travel to customer sites, operate specialized duct cleaning equipment, identify potential ductwork issues, and help improve indoor air quality for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect residential and light commercial duct systems for debris, dust buildup, contamination, damage, or airflow restrictions
- Clean and sanitize HVAC ductwork using specialized duct cleaning equipment and tools
- Remove dust, debris, and contaminants from supply and return air systems
- Perform minor duct repairs, sealing, or component replacements as needed
- Identify damaged or improperly functioning ductwork and communicate findings to customers and management
- Set up, operate, and maintain duct cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
- Document work performed, findings, and recommendations accurately
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean working condition
- Follow all company safety procedures and customer site requirements
- Represent the company professionally while working in customer homes and businesses
- Collaborate with service technicians and other team members as needed
Required Qualifications
- 1–2+ years of experience in duct cleaning, HVAC service, mechanical trades, restoration services, or a related field
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working in attics, crawl spaces, and confined areas
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and follow established procedures
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous HVAC service or duct cleaning experience
- Experience operating duct cleaning equipment and vacuum systems
- Knowledge of residential and commercial HVAC systems
- Experience identifying airflow, duct leakage, or ventilation issues
- NADCA (National Air Duct Cleaners Association) training or certification
- Experience performing minor duct repairs or sealing work
- Strong customer-facing communication skills
