Qualifications Current RN licensure in the state of employment BLS required before patient contact ACLS required within 6 months for step-down and ICU areas Unit-specific certifications may be required Commitment to continuous learning and accurate EMR documentation Key Responsibilities Assess patients: Evaluate physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational needs while collaborating with the healthcare team. Develop care plans: Work with patients and families to create personalized care plans that prioritize patient needs and goals. Deliver patient care: Provide evidence-based care, educate patients and families, and implement interventions according to hospital policies and procedures. Evaluate outcomes: Monitor patient responses and adjust care based on outcomes and evidence-based practices. Drive improvement: Work with the Clinical Manager to develop and evaluate Performance Improvement initiatives and support better patient outcomes. Promote High Reliability: Use High Reliability principles and data to improve patient care and operational efficiency. Lead and mentor: Motivate, educate, delegate, and mentor peers and team members while effectively managing patient care. Document care: Accurately document the nursing process, plan of care, education, updates, and patient and family responses in the EMR.
