Senior Data Science Manager

Experienced data science leaders will find a full-time remote opportunity as a Senior Data Science Manager, responsible for owning high-impact data science projects, managing a lean team, and collaborating across the company to enhance the chess experience through innovative algorithms and models. Key responsibilities Own and develop algorithms and models that shape user engagement and protect game integrity Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to translate data insights into actionable product features Manage and mentor a team of data scientists, setting clear objectives and fostering their professional growth Required qualifications 5+ years of data science experience with a proven track record in developing algorithms and driving user value Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in data pipelines using BigQuery and GCP or similar Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals applicable to fair play and chess-related features Proven ability to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Experience in managing or mentoring data scientists or analysts
