CAFE/BARISTA

Caf/Barista Position

We are searching for an engaging, courteous Caf/Barista who is passionate about food and beverage preparation and education. The Caf/barista will greet customers, answer their questions, take orders and accept payments, and prepare and serve food and drinks. You will also maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace and dining area, update displays, and continuously expand your knowledge of food and beverage quality controls, preparation methods, and presentation.

To succeed as a Caf/barista, you should be committed to providing customers with excellent service. You should be positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and polite.

Overview

• Welcoming customers, informing them about new items, answering questions, and accepting orders and payments.
• The Caf Team takes food and beverage orders and makes coffee, tea, smoothies, milkshakes, and other items to customer specifications
• Field customer complaints or questions both, in person and on the phone.
• Caf staff must often clean coffee machines, blenders, beverage dispensers, restaurant areas, and preparation areas during a normal shift.
• Team members are responsible for producing our cold-pressed juice program, as well as doing prep work for In-House cocktail ingredients.
• Overall cleanliness of the cafe dining room, dry storage, and cooler areas
• Work to maintain good customer relations and speedy delivery of all beverages and other products as well as complete assigned tasks from management every day.
• Working as part of a fun, high-energy team.
• Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls.

Caf/Barista Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service preferred.
• Exceptional listening and communication skills.
• Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Availability to work around peak hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• A polite, engaging personality.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
• Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 6 (six) hours in length.
• Must have a good sense of balance and bend, kneel, and react swiftly to actions surrounding them.
• Must have the ability to lift bus pans, trays, cases of food and beverage weighing as much as 30 pounds.
