Quality Inspector

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform incoming receiving inspection using packing list, print characteristics, and certificate of conformance to verify that the correct products meet conforming standards Perform in-process inspections using inspection reports and manufacturing planning, and enter data when applicable Perform final product inspection and testing using inspection reports and manufacturing planning, and enter data when applicable Basic blueprint reading skills to measure parts with basic gauges and metrology hand tools Statistical process control (SPC), collecting various data and entering data electronically for analysis Assist the management team in monitoring standard practices, training, safety, and housekeeping standards by conducting random audits in all areas Assist in the control and processing of non-conforming material in all areas of receiving and production Other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE One plus years as a Quality Inspector in a machining, injection molding, or composite environment preferred Proficiency with computers using Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required. Epicor is a plus. Ability to work overtime during the week and weekends based on manufacturing deadlines and priorities Experience in troubleshooting, reading blueprints, and using basic measuring devices (tape measure, calipers, height gages, and electrical meters) Ability to read and interpret manufacturing planning, quality assurance procedures, and standards to apply to manufacturing consistency Experience with CREAFORM 3D scanning inspection equipment is a plus PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
