Job Summary:

The Interventional Radiology Tech is responsible for supporting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the IR department, ensuring patient safety and optimal imaging quality. This role involves working with adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced hospital setting, adhering to industry standards and facility protocols.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform interventional radiology procedures, including biopsies, peripheral procedures, stroke interventions, kyphoplasty, and nephrograms.
  
  
• 
  Operate Siemens, Philips, Toshiba, and GE imaging equipment with proficiency, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety.
  
  
• 
  Monitor hemodynamics during procedures, providing support to the medical team for complex interventions.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate documentation within the Cerner charting system, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  
  
• 
  Support cross-functional team members by floating within scope to meet department needs and provide flexibility.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to safety, infection control, and equipment protocols, including maintaining required certifications.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Active Maryland RT license or Compact license is required at application.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience, including neuro and vascular procedures.
  
  
• 
  Certification in BLS, ACLS, and ARRT-R is mandatory; ARRT-VI and fluoroscopy permit are preferred.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in neuro, vascular, and therapeutic procedures with a strong understanding of hemodynamic monitoring.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work in a high-volume IR environment with a team-focused approach.
  
  
• 
  Experience with Siemens imaging equipment and Cerner charting system preferred.
