Job Title: Assistant to the Director
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
Assignment Type: Temporary - 14-week assignment beginning in August
Hours: Part-time (25 hours/week) with occasional evenings and weekends
Location: On-site in Medford, OR (not remote)

About the Role:

BBSI is hiring on behalf of our client for a temporary, part-time Assistant to the Director position. This role will provide administrative and operational support to the Executive Director, assisting with event planning, communications, marketing efforts, and day-to-day office tasks.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable using technology, and has experience with communication, social media, or coordinating projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning and coordinating events and promotional activities.
• Support committees with work plans, budgets, and communications.
• Manage administrative tasks, newsletters, partner tracking, and surveys.
• Assist with advertising, email campaigns, and social media efforts.
• Support volunteer coordination and provide occasional public representation.
• Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Canva/Adobe, and social media platforms.
• Experience with event planning, nonprofit organizations, marketing, or social media management preferred.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with a variety of personalities.
• Flexible, detail-oriented, and dependable.

Physical Requirements:

• Primarily sedentary office work.
• Event support may require standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
