Description Advanced Health Care of Albuquerque is hiring a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This is a great opportunity for a compassionate, motivated therapy professional who enjoys helping residents improve independence, strength, safety, and quality of life. In this role, you will work closely with the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary care team to support individualized treatment plans, guide residents through therapy activities, and help them build confidence with daily living skills. We are looking for someone who is clinically strong, resident-focused, and committed to delivering high-quality rehabilitative care in a skilled nursing setting. Position Details Position: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Location: Advanced Health Care of Albuquerque Status: Full-time Schedule: Weekdays and weekends Shift Length: 8-hour shifts What We’re Looking For We are seeking a licensed or license-eligible COTA who communicates well, works collaboratively, and brings a caring, professional approach to resident therapy. Candidates should be comfortable assisting with treatment implementation, documenting progress, coordinating with the care team, and helping residents improve performance with daily activities and functional goals. Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting is preferred. Requirements Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license or certification in the state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Experience in an occupational therapy setting is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Ability to follow directions and work effectively under supervision. Empathy and commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
