Description: Department consists of an Interventional Radiology unit. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Procedures average 5-8 per day. Daily patient management includes assessment and charting per Radiology Flowsheet. The role involves communicating with physicians regarding patient care plans. IV insertions and CT preparations for scheduled patients are necessary tasks. Critical care experience is a bonus. Documentation is done electronically through EMR systems. No call requirements during shifts, with two staff RNs present at night. Travelers must be flexible with scheduling to meet team needs. Dress code includes royal blue scrubs or surgical scrubs in specific areas. Orientation consists of three shifts, with evaluation for additional support. Unit integration includes collaboration with IR Techs and physicians for patient care. Patients will include various biopsies and complex vascular procedures. Strong emphasis on effective communication and time management skills.
