This role supports the production and refurbishment of critical gas turbine and power generation components using a variety of advanced manufacturing technologies. Successful candidates will work across multiple machining and process disciplines while helping maintain the quality, reliability, and performance standards Siemens Energy is known for worldwide. --- The Work You'll Be Doing In this role, you will: Set up and operate a variety of CNC-controlled manufacturing equipment Perform machining operations on complex energy-industry components Operate horizontal boring mills, laser drilling equipment, and 5-axis machining centers Load and unload components using cranes, forklifts, and material handling equipment Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, and manufacturing specifications Select tooling and equipment required to perform machining operations Perform in-process inspections and quality verification checks Follow established manufacturing procedures and quality standards Utilize precision measuring equipment and metrology tools Support various manufacturing processes including machining, laser applications, heat treatment, bonding, and related operations Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment --- Machines, Controls & Equipment You'll work with equipment such as: Machines Horizontal Boring Mills (HBMs) 5-Axis CNC Machining Centers Laser Drilling Equipment Coating Equipment Heat Treatment Equipment Manual Machining Equipment Controls Siemens Controls FANUC Controls Other CNC Control Platforms Material Handling Jib Cranes Bridge Cranes Fork Trucks Inspection Equipment Precision Measuring Instruments Complex Metrology Equipment Gauges Micrometers Indicators --- Materials You'll Work With Gas turbine components Power generation equipment High-temperature alloys Industrial energy components Precision‑machined parts requiring advanced processing --- What We're Looking For Required High School Diploma or GED Minimum 3 years of CNC machining or CNC operations experience Experience operating CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications Strong understanding of shop mathematics Experience using precision measuring instruments and metrology equipment Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds Ability to wear a respirator when required Ability to pass Process Operator Competency Testing Ability to obtain and maintain forklift and crane certifications Ability to earn an ACT® WorkKeys® National Career Readiness Certificate (Silver Level or higher) Preferred Experience operating Horizontal Boring Mills Experience with 5‑axis machining centers Laser drilling or laser processing experience Coating machine experience Experience in power generation, aerospace, energy, or heavy industrial manufacturing Multi‑process manufacturing experience --- Why Machinists Like Working Here Machinists choose Siemens Energy because: Variety of advanced manufacturing technologies under one roof Opportunities to work on large, complex, high‑value components Multiple shift options available Career advancement and cross‑training opportunities Stable workload supporting critical energy infrastructure Modern manufacturing environment Strong safety culture Relocation assistance available nationwide Comprehensive benefits package Global organization with long‑term career potential --- Pay, Benefits & Schedule Sign‑On Bonus
