Work Environment\nThis position is fully remote, providing you with the flexibility to manage your schedule while making a meaningful impact in individuals' lives. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals including psychiatrists, social workers, and addiction specialists in a supportive atmosphere that prioritizes integrated care. Evening and weekend shifts may be required to accommodate clients' schedules.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' substance abuse histories and mental health status, ensuring personalized and targeted treatment. \n
- Develop and implement customized treatment plans addressing both addiction and co-occurring mental health issues, utilizing evidence-based practices to facilitate recovery. \n
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing to engage and motivate clients in their recovery journey. \n
- Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and integrated care, discussing client progress and any adjustments needed in treatment plans. \n
- Involve clients' families in the treatment process, providing education and support to enhance their understanding of addiction and the recovery journey. \n
- Maintain detailed and accurate records reflecting client interactions and treatment progress, adhering to regulatory standards and best practices in documentation. \n
Your primary focus will be on individuals battling substance use disorders, many of whom may also be experiencing co-occurring psychological issues. The client population varies widely, encompassing adults from diverse backgrounds facing unique challenges in their recovery efforts. By fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship, you will help clients rediscover their strengths and build resilience in the face of adversity.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A valid mental health license, such as LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, LCSW-C, or PsyD. \n
- A Master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, reflecting a strong theoretical understanding of mental health and addiction practices. \n
- Demonstrable expertise in addiction counseling, supported by specialized training or substantial experience in this area. \n
- Adept knowledge of evidence-based practices for treating substance abuse disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, their families, and colleagues within the treatment team. \n

- Prior experience working in a substance abuse treatment setting, preferably in a community health clinic environment. \n
- Knowledge of applicable healthcare regulations and ethical standards governing mental health practice. \n
