Job Duties

• Perform tack/TAC welding on automotive seat frames and metal components.
• Position and align components according to work instructions, drawings, or fixtures.
• Apply temporary welds to hold parts securely in the correct position for final assembly.
• Inspect welds and components for proper placement, alignment, and quality.
• Operate welding equipment and related hand tools safely and correctly.
• Follow established welding procedures, production standards, and safety requirements.
• Identify defective welds, damaged components, or alignment issues and notify the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform repetitive welding and assembly tasks while maintaining consistent quality and production standards.
• Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Follow all company policies, PPE requirements, and OSHA/safety guidelines.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Vocational training, welding certification, or technical education is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Experience performing MIG welding on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or other metals.
• Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of welding equipment setup, welding techniques, and safe operating procedures.
• Ability to accurately measure, fit, and prepare materials prior to welding.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• TAC/tack welding, MIG welding, or automotive manufacturing experience preferred .
• Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, structural welding, or production environments is preferred.
• Experience using grinders, saws, cutting equipment, and metal fabrication tools is beneficial.
• Knowledge of weld inspection, blueprint interpretation, and quality control procedures is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate craftsmanship, dependability, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Welder.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in welding positions throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift metal components, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely wear welding helmets, gloves, and required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to safely work around welding equipment, sparks, heat, and fabrication machinery while following established safety procedures.
• Ability to lift metal components, materials, and equipment weighing up to pounds.

What You Will Do


As a Welder you will prepare materials, set up welding equipment, perform MIG welding operations, inspect completed welds, read blueprints, verify measurements, and help fabricate metal components according to engineering specifications. You will maintain welding equipment, follow quality standards, and support safe, efficient manufacturing operations while producing consistent, high-quality work.

A Welder produces high-quality welded assemblies using MIG welding techniques that support manufacturing across many industries. This position combines technical expertise, fabrication skills, and attention to detail to create reliable finished products.
