TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Englewood, Colorado, 80113!
Job Title: RN - PACU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Duration: Seasonal - Travel Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: PALS, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Description: Seasonal travel RN position in the PACU. All staff float between units. The unit has various surgical specialties, including orthopedic surgery. Total capacity includes multiple bays for patient recovery. The staff consists of registered nurses and patient care technicians. The day shift varies based on surgery schedules. The night shift typically has two registered nurses. Patient ratios are generally 1 RN to 2 patients, with some same-day surgery patients having up to 3. Staffing is per established standards. Equipment includes advanced monitoring systems. Use of electronic medical records is standard. Candidates must have critical care experience or PACU experience. Certifications in PALS, ACLS, and BLS are required. Preferred candidates will have experience in stroke care. Typical procedures include recovery from various types of surgeries and procedures. The patient demographic includes high neuro volume patients and critical care overflow. Ideal candidates are flexible and outgoing. Employee satisfaction is notably high.
