Tech - Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:

Cath Lab/EP Tech supports advanced diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures by preparing equipment, assisting clinicians, and ensuring safe, accurate patient care. This role focuses on efficient setup, sterile technique support, and real-time support during cath lab and EP workflow.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare cath lab and EP procedure rooms by setting up equipment, cables, and supplies before each case.
• Assist clinical teams during procedures by maintaining readiness of technology and documenting required technical details.
• Maintain sterile field support and adhere to infection control and safety protocols throughout patient care activities.
• Monitor equipment functionality and troubleshoot basic issues to minimize procedure delays.
• Support patient preparation and post-procedure turnover, including safe handling of equipment and room reset.
• Follow facility policies for radiation safety and assist with protective measures as required for the procedure.

Qualifications:

• Hold a recognized certification relevant to cath lab or electrophysiology technology (as applicable).
• Demonstrate strong understanding of cath lab/EP procedure workflows and sterile processing principles.
• Exhibit proficiency with technical equipment used in diagnostic and EP environments.
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety standards, and documentation requirements.
• Communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams and respond professionally in time-sensitive settings.
• Provide proof of required competency and/or credentialing per applicable regulations and policy.
