Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty required License: Compact or state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS Must-Have: Epic experience required 1:4 patient ratio experience required Previous charge experience preferred Description: Please ensure traveler is aware of the following: Upon accepting an assignment and starting the role, the unit manager may assign the traveler to an "Emergency Team" where there will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each emergency event, as impacts vary. By signing the travel contract for this position, the traveler accepts the above and will report as assigned by the immediate unit manager if an emergency event occurs. Travelers should not apply for this role unless comfortable with the above expectations. Certified professionals will be responsible for managing patients with diagnoses such as ICU stepdown, stable new trachs, CEA, intermittent BIPAP, PCIs, and nephrectomies. Staffing is based on patient needs and the skill competency of the registered nurse. The ratio of registered nurse to patient is 1:3 or 1:4. Telemetry boarders have a ratio of 1:5. Travel professionals must have a minimum of two years of experience in specialty for all locations. Candidates must have two manager or supervisor references for clearance to start the contract. NURSYS reports for registered nurses must be sent with the profile and must be kept up to date. Modules are billable and completed during orientation hours. Modules are recorded via the facility.
