Summer Marketing Intern

Reports to: Director of Marketing and Communications Supervises: None Hours: 16 hours per week, flexible Availability: June – August 2026 Location: On Campus

Position Summary

The Marketing Intern supports Cornerstone's advancement marketing and communications efforts by managing mailing lists, assisting with audience segmentation, and helping execute digital and print campaigns. This role strengthens the school's ability to communicate with donors, families, and community partners in a targeted and consistent way.

Primary Responsibilities

• Audit and update mailing lists for donors, families, alumni, and community partners
• Support the preparation, segmentation, and distribution of email campaigns
• Create social media content, scheduling and analytics tracking
• Coordinate data between the CRM and email marketing platform to ensure accuracy
• Assist with content calendar management and campaign timelines
• Conduct benchmarking research on peer school marketing practices

Learning Objectives

The Marketing Intern will gain hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing operations, audience segmentation strategy, campaign planning, and integrated advancement communications.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
• Comfort working with lists and data segmentation
• Interest in nonprofit marketing, communications, or fundraising
• Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
• Experience with email marketing tools (e.g., Constant Contact) preferred but not required
