Travel Physical Therapist - $1,834 per week

Position Overview Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey, beginning 06/22/2026. The role requires 40 hours per week on 8‑hour shifts and offers a competitive pay package with tax‑free stipend and benefits beginning day one. Summary The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Our settings include hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers. The role demands strong clinical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to safe, high‑quality patient care. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely, maintaining performance standards. Assess patient progress, adjust plans as necessary, and document interventions accurately. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other professionals to coordinate care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise, proper body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management. Maintain a safe treatment environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Contribute to discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions to community settings. Perform other duties within scope of practice as assigned. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Proficiency with PC skills. Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Strong interpersonal communication skills and professionalism. Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. Experience in physical therapy; new graduates are welcome. Additional certifications or licenses as required.
