SUMMARY

This position is responsible for payment processing, loan maintenance, credit disputes, and general ledger balancing. Must have thorough understanding of all types of loans and other related requirements and independently acts to meet those requirements. Works under minimal supervision while supporting the Commercial, Retail and National Lending Group banking functions.

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Daily operations include payment processing, interest rate adjustments, and loan maintenance in a fast-paced environment.
• Processes and assures accuracy of all monetary and maintenance transactions of all loan types including complex commercial loans, providing support and customer service to banking centers, commercial lenders, and participating lending institutions. Responsible for SBA reporting.
• Responsible for setting up new ACH and/or AFT and special handling requests.
• Disburse escrow funds and perform periodic escrow analysis, as required.
• Balances loan related general ledger accounts.
• Handles manual credit card payments and maintenance.
• Handles inquiries relating to loan processing issues, including credit disputes and making any necessary corrections to core and updating client credit bureau reporting through E-OSCAR.
• Completes special projects as assigned by Loan Operations Management.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• One year of experience in loan operations preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the stated qualifications.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High school degree required.

• A positive attitude and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient typing and computer skills (experience using Word, Excel, or other similar software).
• Demonstrated ability to maintain complex spreadsheets.
• Knowledge of loan regulations including but not limited to the Real Estate Settlement Protection Act (Reg X) and Fair Credit Reporting Act (Reg V).
• Working knowledge of Bank's lending policies and procedures and banking operations functions.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and evaluate detailed and/or complex documents.
• Detail-oriented, high level of flexibility and adaptability, enabling individual to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be well-organized and display excellent time-management skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new skills and apply to role.
• Ability to work independently to resolve problems.
• Exceptional understanding of needs to provide client focused service.
• Strong team focus with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
