Psychiatric Physician Assistant

The Nexus Group, PC in Pittsburgh, PA is a widely respected and rapidly growing outpatient private psychiatric practice treating child, adolescent, and adult patients. We are a lean, digital office with a great support staff, allocating ample time for appointments and follow-ups. We are seeking a talented and passionate Psychiatric Physician Assistant to join our team to provide high-quality psychiatric care to our patients. The PA-C will work collaboratively with our team to diagnose and treat a variety of mental health conditions in an outpatient setting. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who is eager to expand their expertise and knowledge for high quality patient care. Our optimal candidate will thrive under pressure and be able to self-direct their day-to-day responsibilities. You will be collaborating with a managing psychiatrist to provide consistent and quality treatment to patients. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of new and existing patients Formulate and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy Monitor and evaluate patients' progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary Provide patient education and counseling regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and medication adherence Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction Qualifications Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program Current state licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) Certification in Psychiatry/Mental Health from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Previous experience in psychiatry or mental health preferred, but new graduates with a strong interest in psychiatry are welcome to apply Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care Strong organizational skills and attention to detail #J-18808-Ljbffr The Nexus Group, PC
