Job Description
This role focuses on assembling and packaging electronic products in a calm, quiet production environment. You will follow detailed instructions, use hand tools and production equipment, and support multiple workstations to ensure products are built accurately and on time. The position requires working efficiently, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities

• Read work orders, drawings, sample assemblies, and verbal instructions to understand assembly requirements.
• Assemble manufactured products according to blueprints, work orders, or verbal instructions.
• Execute assembly builds in a timely manner as defined by the production schedule.
• Work at a bench or on the shop floor to assemble electronic assemblies.
• Collect required parts from inventory as needed to complete assemblies.
• Receive and follow verbal instructions on the priority of orders.
• Set up daily work based on the production schedule or verbal instructions.
• Use hand tools, including torque-controlled electric drills and wrenches, to assemble products.
• Work at different workstations and cross-train to support other departments as required.
• Package finished products according to boxing and work instructions or verbal guidance.
• Label all products and assemblies accurately and complete associated paperwork.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and participate in the general maintenance of the facility.
• Adhere to all safety standards and ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection procedures.
• Perform testing on a variety of custom electronic products to ensure proper function and quality.
• Participate in product assembly training sessions, team activities, SQCDMM, and continuous improvement processes.
• Support the company's vision, mission, strategy, and values through daily work and collaboration.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of assembly experience.
• At least 1 year of production experience.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, including torque-controlled electric drills and wrenches.
• Experience with machine operation and machine operating in a production environment.
• Familiarity with SMT (surface-mount technology) machines or similar production equipment.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and workflows.
• Ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, drawings, and verbal instructions.
• Comfort working with electronic assemblies and related components.
• Commitment to following safety and ESD protection standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience assembling electronic products or components.
• Experience working at multiple workstations and supporting different departments.
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on production schedules and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail for labeling, documentation, and paperwork completion.
• Willingness to participate in training, team activities, and continuous improvement initiatives such as SQCDMM.
• Capability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Strong work ethic and alignment with company values, mission, and strategy.

The role follows a production schedule, with daily tasks organized by work orders and verbal instructions. You are expected to maintain a clean and orderly workspace, follow safety and ESD protection standards, and move between different workstations as needed to support various departments.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hilliard, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
