Our Culture Integrity: We do what we say we’ll do Respect: We value our people, customers, and communities Empowerment: Leaders here are trusted to make decisions and drive results What You’ll Do As an Operations Manager, you’ll lead day-to-day hauling, landfill, metal yard, MRF, and toilet service operations while developing your leadership team and driving performance across safety, service, and profitability. Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise hourly employees and frontline supervisors at our hauling site, landfill, metal yard, MRF, and portable toilet service. Monitor routes and staffing; adjust resources in real time to meet service demands Partner with the Site Manager on budgeting and P&L performance Coach, develop, and hold accountable a team of frontline leaders Assist in creating/managing policies and procedures Conduct field inspections and safety audits to ensure compliance and best practices Handle and resolve customer escalations with professionalism and urgency Overseeenvironmental, OSHA, and local regulatory compliance Set and execute short- and long-term operational goals Drive a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset What We’re Looking For 5+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced, people-heavy environment Proven ability to manage large teams and shifting priorities Experience with operations, logistics, or field-based teams Exposure to budgeting or P&L management Strong decision-making, communication, and leadership skills Proficient in Excel and business systems Bachelor’s degree preferred Willingness to relocate for advancement opportunities What Sets You Apart Hands-on leader who thrives both in the field and in the office Strong coach and mentor who develops future leaders Comfortable operating in high-accountability, fast-moving environments Safety-focused with experience in regulated industries Benefits medical dental vision flexible spending account long term & short term disability life insurance 401K retirement unlimited opportunities to "Connect with Your Future" Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
