This Is More Than a Front Desk Job

When someone walks through the doors at Twisted Fitness for the first time, there is a good chance they're nervous.

They may have wanted to try Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or Muay Thai for years but never worked up the courage. They may feel out of shape. They may be looking for a place for their child. They may simply know they need something different in their life and aren't sure where to start.

The person behind our desk can change that first experience.

We're hiring  two Member Experience & Sales Representatives who are genuinely excited about people, fitness, martial arts, and helping others get started.

Your job is to make people feel welcome, understand what they're looking for, help them find the right program, and make their next step easy.

And once they become members, your job doesn't stop.

You'll know our members. You'll encourage them. You'll help them with questions. You'll talk to them about programs they may benefit from. You'll notice the person who looks lost and offer help before they have to ask.

What You'll Do

Customer service and member experience are the most important parts of this position.

You'll greet members and prospects, answer questions in person and over the phone, learn what prospective members are looking for, give facility tours, explain our programs, help people choose the appropriate next step, and confidently handle membership and retail sales.

You'll also handle the everyday responsibilities that keep the facility running well, including member check-ins, opening and closing duties, cleaning and maintaining the front desk area, and other administrative responsibilities.

But we don't want someone who simply waits behind the desk for something to happen.

We want someone who is  present .

Someone who notices the new person walking through the door.

Someone who remembers a member's name.

Someone willing to learn enough about our programs to explain why someone might enjoy Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, boxing, fitness training, kids BJJ, or another Twisted program.

Someone who can recognize when a person is hesitant and help put them at ease.

Someone who can sell without making people feel like they're being sold.

How We Think About Sales

Yes, this is a sales position.

But our approach to sales starts with service.

Everyone who walks through our doors is a potential customer—but we want you to see them as something more than that.

They may become a teammate.

They may become someone who makes the room better while the people in that room help make them better.

Your responsibility isn't to pressure someone into buying something. It's to pay attention, ask good questions, understand what they're looking for, explain honestly how we can help, and confidently invite them to get started when we're the right fit.

Sometimes the person standing in front of you will already be excited.

Sometimes they'll need encouragement.

Sometimes they'll be nervous enough that simply walking through the door was a big step.

We want someone who understands the difference and knows how to meet people where they are.

Who We're Looking For

You do  not need to walk in already knowing everything about martial arts or every Twisted Fitness program. We'll provide on-the-job training.

Previous gym, fitness, martial arts, customer service, or sales experience is preferred, but the right attitude matters tremendously.

We're looking for someone who is:

• Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable starting conversations
• Genuinely eager to serve customers and help people
• Attentive to what is happening around them
• Positive and encouraging
• Comfortable discussing memberships and asking for the sale
• Dependable and punctual
• Willing to learn our programs instead of simply memorizing a sales pitch
• Present and engaged while at work
• Coachable and willing to accept feedback
• Interested in continually improving at the job
• Excited to work in a fitness and martial arts environment

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who  cares about the experience people have here .

What Won't Work Here

This probably isn't the right position for someone who wants to sit behind a desk and wait for the shift to end.

Being consistently late won't work. Neither will frequently calling in sick.

Being uncomfortable talking with people won't work.

Ignoring a new person because you're busy looking at your phone won't work.

Learning the minimum necessary to get by won't work.

Our members and prospective members deserve someone's attention.

We don't expect you to be perfect. We do expect you to be willing to learn, accept coaching, take responsibility, and keep getting better.

That's part of the culture you're being hired to represent.

What You'll Learn

We'll train you on our programs, memberships, sales process, facility procedures, and the day-to-day responsibilities of the position.

You'll be expected to learn enough about what we do to have real conversations—not simply point at a schedule or repeat a script.

The better you understand the training and the people participating in it, the better you'll be able to help someone find where they belong.

Schedule & Opportunity

We're currently hiring  two people , with approximately 10–40 hours per week available depending on the person, availability, and business needs .

We need availability across:

Mornings  Evenings  Weekends

For the right person, this position also has the potential to develop into a  full-time management role .
