Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Diet Technician at our facility you will have the opportunity to provide quality nutritional care and appropriate meal trays to assigned patients. You will be joining a hard-working and compassionate team that is so vital for the day-to-day functions of our hospital.

In this role:

• You will provide appropriate meal trays to assigned patients.
• You will pass and collect patient menus and meal trays.
• You will supply bulk nourishment to nursing units.
• You will provide between meal feedings to patients as needed.
• You will provide pertinent diet information about special needs of the patients.
• You will perform other functions as requested.

What qualifications you will need:

• You must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and to push 500 pounds or more using a cart.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and all hours as scheduled.
• Food Handlers Permit or ServSafe Certification required.
• Food service, hospital diet office, and cash register experience preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
