Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products tailored to their needs, providing detailed product demos when appropriate
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling
- Upsell products by highlighting features, benefits, and new offerings to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales performance
- Maintain stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and ensuring product displays are attractive and compliant with merchandising standards
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about product effects, usage, and safety guidelines
- Handle retail store product knowledge with confidence, staying informed about new products, strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting remote customers
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales with strong cashiering skills and retail math proficiency for accurate transactions and cash drawer handling
- Supervising experience preferred to support team operations and ensure excellent customer service standards
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse customer
groups - Exceptional communication skills to educate customers clearly and confidently about products
- Experience with POS systems, retail store merchandising, inventory management, and stock replenishment
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly for sales totals, discounts, taxes, and change-making
- Knowledge of cannabis products including strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories is highly desirable
- Strong phone etiquette skills combined with excellent customer service orientation to foster positive interactions both in person and over the phone
