JOB SUMMARY Seeking a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) for a travel assignment. This role involves preparing the operating room, managing the sterile field, and assisting surgeons during various surgical procedures. Key Responsibilities Prepare the operating room, including the sterile field. Set up surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions. Pass instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon during procedures. Prepare and manage surgical equipment. Simultaneously manage the sterile field and specimens. Perform counts of sponges and supplies to prevent retained foreign objects. Provide surgical technologist duties for ortho, general, spine, vascular, urology, and OB procedures. Schedule / Shift Days: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Friday, 10-hour shifts Rotating weekday off Required Qualifications BLS required. 2+ years of experience as a Surgical Technologist Must be greater than 50 miles from the facility Maximum RTO of 2 weeks RTO blackout on Labor Day Preferred Qualifications CRST preferred Certifications BLS Experience 2+ years of experience as a Surgical Technologist Experience in ortho, general, spine, vascular, urology, and OB procedures. Skills Proficient in preparing and maintaining a sterile field. Skilled in assisting surgeons with instrumentation and supplies. Competent in performing surgical counts. Ability to manage equipment and specimens.
