As the business grows, we are looking for a professional to handle corporate accounting across the full transaction cycle - from property acquisition through renovation to sale. We are seeking someone with hands-on U.S. accounting experience who can also support reporting to our Japan headquarters and investors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Day-to-day and month-end bookkeeping (AP/AR, bank reconciliations, journal entries) Accounting for each stage of the property lifecycle: Capitalization of acquisition costs (real estate held for sale / inventoryaccounting) Tracking and capitalizing renovation costs, and allocating projectcosts Recording gain/loss on sale and processing closingstatements Monthly and quarterly closing (trial balance preparation, account analysis and reconciliation) Preparing reports for Japan HQ (translating U.S. GAAP-based figures into the format required by Japan-side reporting) Assisting with cash flow management (payment scheduling, cash needs forecasting) Vendor invoice processing and payment execution Supporting internal controls and process improvementinitiatives Other accounting-related tasks as directed by the CFO and management team QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
