Inspire and support students by becoming a Special Education Teacher in a welcoming school community near Ramona, CA. This part-time contract opportunity is designed for educators who are passionate about fostering growth and achievement for students in grades 4-6 with mild to moderate needs. With a consistent Monday through Friday morning schedule from 8:00 AM to 11:44 AM, you’ll have the ability to make a positive difference each day while maintaining work-life balance.
Key Details:
- Discipline: Special Education (SPED)
- Assignment Dates: August 19, 2026 – June 10, 2027
- Hours: 3.43 hours/day, Monday through Friday
- Caseload: Mild/Moderate (grades 4-6; specific caseload to be determined)
- One position available
- Location: Ramona, CA
- Compensation ranges from $40 - $55 per hour, depending on experience.
Core Qualifications:
- Active California Credential in Mild/Moderate Special Education (required)
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged students with mild/moderate learning needs preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt curriculum to diverse learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Manage and maintain accurate records and reports as required
- Provide ongoing assessment and progress monitoring to inform instructional decisions
