CPCS Medical Staff Coordinator

A company is looking for a Medical Staff Credentialing Coordinator. Key Responsibilities Coordinate the application and reapplication process for practitioners seeking membership and clinical privileges Act as a customer service liaison, facilitating communication between applicants, human resources, and clinical departments Evaluate applicant credentials for compliance with medical staff bylaws and accrediting agencies Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent work experience Minimum of 2 years of hospital-based credentialing and privileging experience Experience in an academic medical center, multi-entity health system, or a Credentialing Verification Organization (CVO) preferred NAMSS Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification required or must obtain within one year of hire
