Respiratory Therapist II (RRT)

Role: Respiratory Therapist II, responsible for delivering advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment in complex clinical situations, primarily in critical care settings. Key Responsibilities Administers aerosolized medications, manages ventilators, performs airway management, and conducts arterial blood gas sampling and analysis. Collaborates with healthcare team members to plan and deliver patient-centered care, considering population-specific needs. Provides patient, family, and staff education; mentors new employees and students. Ensures safety and quality through accurate documentation, adherence to protocols, and participation in performance improvement initiatives. Supports invasive and non-invasive procedures, pulmonary diagnostics, and cardiac service activities. Promotes a positive work environment and patient safety culture. Qualifications And Skills Minimum education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or RCP—required upon hire. Experience: 0-2 years clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
