The position reports to the Senior Recruiter, with a dotted line to the HR Manager.ResponsibilitiesThe HR Intern will act as a SubCom AmbassadorPromote SubCom brand on campusCompile a list of dates and times of campus events, focusing on IT and Engineering clubsUse LinkedIn to promote SubCom attendance at UNH eventsAttend or assist with Career FairsTalent Acquisition SupportAssist Senior Recruiter with scheduling and coordinating interviewsUnderstanding and creating offer letters under various offer conditionsSource and screen candidates for open positions using tools such as LinkedIn and HandshakePromote roles through LinkedIn and local organizationsInteract with hiring managers on timely delivery of recruiting activity and updatesHR SupportSupport onboarding of new employees, including assisting with new hire paperwork, assisting with pre-employment screenings, and conducting New Hire Onboarding presentations.Support HR projects and deliverables, such as the creation or updating of Process Documents and Job Aids, administrative support to Non-Manufacturing HR Manager for annual screenings, and other miscellaneous projects.QualificationsThis position requires discretion and sensitivity due to the highly confidential nature of work assignments.Desire to learn.Student must be enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program at The University of New Hampshire.Strong written, oral communication, analytical and presentation skills.Ability to interact with all levels of employment and work in multi-cultural environment.Must have strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).Knowledge of employment laws, workers compensation, FMLA, FLSA, ADA and EEO a plus.Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen and credit check.NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
