Responsibilities include: Assist the teacher with planning, developing, and providing a creative learning environment focused on high academic achievement and collaboration. Support daily teaching activities, integrating learning across the curriculum. Work with pupils individually and in small group activities. Assist in the documentation of pupil progress. Prepare instructional materials. Perform other duties as designated by the teacher and principal. Assist with recess supervision. Qualifications Preferred: Bachelor’s degree; minimum: Associate’s degree or 48 college credits. Previous coursework in elementary education preferred. Previous successful classroom experience with students in an urban, multicultural setting, preferably at the elementary level. Demonstrated ability to respect diversity and help children develop a positive self‑image as successful learners.
