We're looking for a dedicated Cook II to join our food and nutrition services team. In this role, you'll help create a positive dining experience for patients, visitors, and staff by preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Essential Functions and Responsibilities What You'll Do As a Cook II, you will:

Prepare and serve food according to established recipes, quality standards, and production schedules.
Deliver outstanding customer service while interacting professionally with patients, visitors, hospital staff, and fellow team members.
Demonstrate expertise in at least one key service area, including: Grill Room Service Catering Caf Service Line
Monitor and maintain proper food temperatures to ensure food quality and safety.
Inspect food items for freshness, appearance, and quality, reporting any concerns to leadership.
Follow food safety and sanitation standards, including proper labeling, FIFO practices, hand hygiene, and glove use.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and in accordance with established procedures.
Complete assigned opening and closing duties, including food preparation, stocking, cleaning, and workstation setup.
Support overall department operations by assisting team members as needed.

Job Requirements What You'll Bring High School Diploma or GED required. Culinary training or certificate program preferred. Minimum of two years of experience in food service, hospitality, culinary operations, or a related field. Strong commitment to customer service and teamwork. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe food handling practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
