Key Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, patient- and family-centered care across the continuum of the life cycle, with a focus on adult and geriatric populations in an ICU setting
• Execute the Standards of Nursing Practice including assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Develop, implement, and revise individualized patient care plans, coordinating care across disciplines and delegating tasks to appropriate care team members
• Participate in shared accountability and decision-making for nursing practices while demonstrating personal leadership to improve practice standards and the care environment
• Float to other ICU units (Trauma, Medical) and Medical/Surgical units as staffing needs require
• Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Minnesota RN License
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) — must be documented at time of submission
• ACLS certification (AHA or ARC) — must be documented at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Current skills checklist (within the past year) pertinent to ICU specialty — required documentation
• 2 supervisory references with dates of employment listed — required documentation
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of candidate submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for fresh open heart surgery patients
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Experience with Impella and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) management
