Registered Respiratory Therapist - PRN

Position Summary The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT) at IU Health evaluates and treats patients with cardiopulmonary disorders, collaborating with nurses, advanced respiratory therapists, and clinical specialists to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction. Schedule and Location PRN, Day shift Location: Ball Memorial Hospital Responsibilities Works closely with patients to assess and manage cardiopulmonary conditions, administer respiratory treatments, and support interdisciplinary care teams to maintain high standards of patient service. Requirements Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Indiana. Completion of a CoARC‑accredited respiratory care program. Pass the N.B.R.C. registry exam within 6 months of hire (except if hire date is one year past graduation). Healthcare Provider Certification; additional life‑support certifications may be required per unit/department. Preferred ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP certification. Strong customer‑service, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle confidential patient information. Basic computer skills and EMR proficiency.
