Geotechnical Project Manager

Company Description Foundation Personnel, a specialist recruitment partner to the geotechnical and foundations sector, is working with a specialty design‑build geotechnical contractor and ground improvement company delivering solutions for sites with challenging soil conditions across the United States. Job Duties and Responsibilities Ensures that all Company safety rules and procedures (including site‑specific regulations) are being strictly adhered to by all Project Team members. Working closely with Operations Manager, Construction Manager, and other Project Managers to develop and grow regional labor and equipment resources, refine operations procedures, and expand our technical capabilities. Collaborating with regional sales and design team members. Coordinating with engineers and general contractors to ensure design and construction requirements are met. Managing contract negotiations with clients, including preparing scope of work documents. Responsible for review of contract documents & specifications and preparation of RFI’s. Provides input and/or reviews design, drawing, & construction submittals with Design Engineers. Identify potential project risks and implement strategies to mitigate them. Responsible for project activities that include quality control, documentation, submittal preparation and data analysis, equipment and labor allocations, as well as running small work crews when necessary. Holds project kickoff & planning meetings. Conducts pre‑construction site visits to determine if there are any site access issues (including both on and off site), working pad preparedness, and overhead obstructions/restrictions. Works closely with the Engineering Department and the Project Manager to ensure that all project quality requirements are met. Provides input and/or reviews bids regional estimators and sales department, as needed. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of construction practices including but not limited to, contract claims and management, dispute resolution, cost control, means & methods, skilled trades, and equipment. Thorough understanding of labor agreements (including but not limited to Union agreements). Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent documentation and organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
